Abstract: Inventory management requires constant and careful evaluation of external and internal factors and control through planning and review. Most of the organizations have a separate department or job function called inventory planners who continuously monitor, control and review inventory and interface with production, procurement and finance departments. Using of manual system to take inventory had always been the method used by supermarkets and this has various constrains such as inefficiency, takes time, etc. This project aimed to create a digital system that does not have all the aforementioned problems. The system was designed using C# and SQL programming languages, Microsoft Visual Studios 2017 and Microsoft SQL Server 2014. A system that could take in inventory, monitor sales and notify when stock available goes down beyond the specified quantity was created. The System was able to perform well saving time, updating inventory in real-time and could work with accuracy as seen in chapter four. Based on the result, it was seen that using of digitized inventory management system provided an easier and more efficient framework for supermarkets as compared to using the manual method.
