Abstract: Over the years, several work have been done on the Indigenous Churches in Nigeria, due to several reasons, such as, its importance to the Christian community in Nigeria. People have different perspectives to the impact of Indigenous Churches in Nigeria, and also, the reason for the founding of Indigenous Churches. Thus, this research was carried out to examine the impact of Indigenous Churches in Nigeria: a Study of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries. The objectives were to establish the beginning and activities of indigenous churches and the activities of the impact of MFM in the society and Nigeria as a whole. Methodologically, the study was Historical and Empirical in nature. The paper is an archive-oriented research which means data and resources were drawn from books, articles, magazines and important websites. The findings of this research shows that Indigenous churches in Nigeria have positive influence on the people and the community and Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries drew much from the existing Churches especially Christ Apostolic Church. To this end, this study recommends that Indigenous Churches should follow the templates set by their founding fathers rather than trying to copy the Europeans’ view of worship which was one of the reasons why Africans chose to established their own church in African world-view and also be fully committed to their divine assignment, if truly they have been called to lead others to righteousness.
