dc.description.abstract Healthcare Management is a wide-ranging term that can be defined from various aspects. It is primarily about managing all aspects of healthcare coordinating all elements of a health center. Inquiries about the patient's record are sometimes difficult to deal with. Patient’s information is usually mixed up while carrying files from one point to another. It is some times very difficult to retrieve information for instance, to find out about the patient’s history, the user has to go through various registers. The information generated by several transactions takes time and efforts to be stored at the right place, preparation of accurate reports. Healthcare management system was designed to automate the operations carried out in the healthcare environment using web development tool, which ensued each operation in the healthcare environment. The healthcare management system was designed to automate the managing of patient’s record, medical record that will be stored in the database. The scheduling and booking of appointment was automated by the healthcare management system using the following tools: Hypertext markup language (HTML), CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL and bootstrap. Healthcare management system created helps to manage medical records, easy booking of appointment in a healthcare environment. The system provides a faster and more efficient way of keeping medical records and information for future references. The healthcare management system is a very useful and efficient way of keeping medical records and information compared to the manual method currently used. It is recommended that the system is improved upon to increase the scope and productivity en_US
