dc.description.abstract In this paper, I have extended the analysis done in the previous research [1] which proposed a standard finite element method with a four step time discretization. The analysis in that paper revealed that almost optimal order of convergence in the 𝐿 2(Ω)-norm is obtainable when the interface cannot be fitted exactly. I have also derived almost optimal error estimate in 𝐻1(Ω)-norm. Numerical experiments are presented in this research to support the theoretical result. en_US
