dc.description.abstract | This project examined the effect of the magnetic field imposed on a horizontal channel flow of a magneto-hydrodynamic fluid. The flow governing equations were rescaled into dimensionless forms, and the Adomian Decomposition Method (ADM) of solution was used to solve the equations. The Adomian Decomposition Scheme was also implemented using the soft- ware package called MATHEMATICA. From the results obtained from the application of this symbolic package, the effects of the magnetic field on the velocity and the temperature of the fluid flow were explained with graphical presentations. The result shows that the increase in the magnetic field imposed on the channel reduces the fluid velocity; the result also shows that increase in the magnetic field imposed on the channel increases the fluid temperature. | en_US |
