Abstract:
There is a growing concern about the decline of morality in our society. The most vulnerable group
of premarital sexual behaviour are youths and adolescents. The aim of the study is to assess factors
affecting premarital sex behaviours among adolescent and its impact on their spiritual and physical
life. The study adopted a descriptive survey research design that identified the causes, forms and
consequences of immorality among the youths of MFM Lagos, Nigeria. Both secondary and
primary data were used in this research work. The instrument for primary data was questionnaire.
The sample was drawn from (4) four MFM regional headquarters. Two hundred and fifty (250)
copies of questionnaire were given out while only one hundred and fifty (150) copies were
retrieved and analyzed. The questionnaire was designed to obtain accurate information based on
the objectives and research questions. Finding of the study revealed poor parental upbringing, peer
group influence, unregulated media as some of the causes, prostitution, rape, masturbation as forms
while teen parenting, drops out school, loosing fellowship with God, untimely death as
consequences of immorality among the youths.
